Four excellent helpers worked the championship: Stacy Burgan, Tim Cutter, Weston Kester, and Kyle Krotter. All four received high praise from the protection judge: “the best slate of 4 helpers seen at a Regional Championship.” All four worked dogs in a skilled, safe, and consistent manner with appropriate pressure.

Both judges were very correct and fair across the board to all handlers, and provided informative critiques to each handler/dog team. The judging at this championship will undoubtedly help prepare handlers for the National Championship in six weeks, and will grow the handling skills and trialing knowledge of all those entered in and spectating the event.
